Mind My Education® (MME) seeks to cultivate a more compassionate society of aware, curious, & empowered learners. We offer pathways to organize & enhance curricular maps for all stakeholders in schools & educational orgs (Students, Guardians, Teachers, Admin, Community Partners). Based in neuroscience + the art & science of pedagogy, we’ve produced engaging, never-before-seen tools, like CoreAtlas, and consulting services that help students take the lead on encouraging feedback & pushing their own learning, thereby making the educational system more enjoyable (and useful) for all stakeholders, from each student’s “core” on up!

Pro Teacher Tips Lesson:

not yet challenge title-01.png

A sponge activity that'll promote a growth mindset as students review their year.

Before: No prep :)

Model:

  1. Tell students that the year may be ending, but learning never does! Today you challenge them to find some NOT YET learning Quests in CoreAtlas.
  2. Model logging in to www.CoreAtlas.io and begin searching for new Quests to explore using the list on the left of your screen.
  3. Model choosing a Quest you're at NOT YET with, grading yourself, and posting specific questions that go beyond I don't get this.

The Challenge:

  1. Have 5 minutes? Challenge students to find at least 1 NOT YET Quest. 10 minutes? They need to find at least 2 NOT YET Quests.
  2. Tell students you'll be looking for them to post interesting questions once they grade themselves.

After:

Give feedback to student posts in CoreAtlas.io - they'll be thrilled to hear back from you (and learning all the while)!
